Dear Cathy,

You gave us all a wonderful ride in Chile that everyone wants to go back next year!  The horse you gave me was a joy to ride and he saved himself and his rider from going over the edge due to my faulty steering. Paul Walker was such a good choice as your stand in and his lessons on horse training were a revelation. Please give him our appreciation for his company and the same to Tito and Deeno who were equally wonderful. Please also thank your mother for most kindly allowing us to stay in her house and for giving us dinner - it was all a very special experience.  The attached words by a famous Irish poet must sum up her reasons for moving to her island - please pass them on. All the best for your "rest" season.  You and your horses have certainly earned it.
